Yesterday I bought this amazing book called
Winnie the Pooh: A celebration of the Silly old Bear
As you can guess, I was extremely happy to have come upon it.
I have only read the first chapter so far but I love it. It tells you about all the history of the book, and the author. It even tells you that Christopher Robin (A.A. Milne's son) did not like being known as Christopher Robin. I was shocked to read this, and very sad.
Anywho, that same day I bought a lead graphite pencil, which is wonderful! I watched Winnie the Pooh online and decided to draw some of the characters.
The other day, at the mall, I drew some randoms, but mostly focusing on gesture.
That same day, I drew a fox, that has now become Vixie and Todd's daughter.
She is nineteen in fox years, and loves adventure. She wants to go out and see the world, instead of living in this one forest her whole life. Eventually she meets either a gray wolf or a arctic wolf (haven't decided) and they fight constantly.
I cant think of a name for her really, any ideas?
This is practicing the anatomy of a fox.
As you can see I sort of love foxes..
Any name suggestions are welcome!
Lexy. She looks like a Lexy.
ReplyDeleteIs that book just a Winnie the Pooh one, or one specifically on the art of the latest movie?! I adored the latest film, so if it's all about that version I will have to go buy a copy for my library. I was looking at screens and some of the drawings of Rabbit are so dynamic that I feel like crying because I'm no where near that good yet. :)
ReplyDeleteJKR- It's a little on the art of the third movie, but it talks lots about the history etc. It's worth it! Soo worth it.
ReplyDeleteJon- I do like that name! But is it too close to Vixie?
Possibly. How bout Lexington? Hmm.. Maybe not. Scratch that.
