The Billy Goats Gruff.

Yesterday, I told my friend I would draw her something.  So I asked what she wanted.
A: I want you to draw me a ... Troll! or a Dragon!
R: I will draw you a Troll, it's easier.
A: ooookay!
I put my pencil to the paper and stopped.  A troll... How do I draw a Troll? Well, I guess they have large feet, and they are pretty short, with a big head.. Anyway, thats how Shoeshwapp the third was made.

After drawing him I remembered the story of the three billy goats gruff.  I had to clarify how the story went from my dad first. It has been so long, I had forgotten.

So I decided I wanted to draw the goats. I had also, in this moment forgotten what a goat looked like.  Hahha, so I had to look it up.

Here is the father.  Mother and child to come.

More fox drawings. I adore the Prismacolor markers p.s. so so so much! If you are an artist, I encourage buying them.

What childhood story was told to you when you were young?

  1. I love this troll I could almost hear him talking! I haven't picked up a brush in such a long time and I have never heard of those markers I may have to try them.

  2. Hahah! Thank you! The markers are so great! They can layer over eachother very nicely. If you do buy them, I suggest buying online, they are probably cheaper. Unless, you live in Edmonton.

  3. The troll along with the drawings of the goats and the foxes are great, Mona! I will have to try the prismacolours. When I was younger I remember my mother often reading The Little Red Hen. :D Have you tried drawing hens?
