School again!

I know I have not updated in sooo long. However, I tried to change the look of my blog and I didn't like it. So I just stopped writing. And, I know Melissa and Josh, you both told me to change it back. So I almost did. It is slightly different though.

Umm I am back at school. My last year of the musical theatre program. We are working on a play right now called Ana Karenina. I am a little boy named Seriozha (Ana's son), a dumb pesant haha, and a member of Betsy's possey. It's alot of fun. In fact, we just had a six hour rehearsal today for it. I thought I would be exhausted afterwards, but I am not. I got a bunch of homework done and read some of my Walt Disney Biography book (amazing by the way).

Next year I will hopefully be starting the animation program. That would be amazing. I've finished my sketchbook that I wrote about in my last entry. I've started a new one. I am not drawing in it as quickly because of school and work but it's coming along.

So this summer I went to Edmonton (with Melissa), Jordan's Wedding, and Galiano Island (with Melissa and her mom). The summer was pretty awesome. Seeing Janice (my cousin)! yup.

umm what else to tell? I'm watching The Truman Show on tv right now. I heard about it before but have never seen it. It's crazy how can anyone be that mean? Poor guy!

So this year I am directing disney's Aladdin with the Lindbjerg Academy. I am super super excited. So everyone should come see it in June I think it is.

Anyways, I'm hungry and want to watch the rest of the movie.

Sketchbook Journal

I have started a sketchbook Journal.

I was at Chapters the other day when I came across this book about sketchbook Journaling. It had all these artist's journals in there. Basically its a sketchbook that you draw random things your thinking about or that you see. Its best to do if frequently so you will improve your drawing and more. It looked like soo much fun so I bought a set of three moleskin thin books. Turns out it is sooo much fun. Melissa is also doing one, and Josh will when he gets back from calgary. Here are my first pages so far.

I bought the cutest calendar today. Its of the classic Winnie the Pooh. Amazing.

School supply shopping is basically done. It was lots of fun buying it. Almost makes me excited to go back to school... almost.

At work today I got bored again and drew some quick sketches. It made the time pass super quickly.

My pencilcase is overflowing.

Back from Edmonton!

Im back from Edmonton! It was super fun. Melissa and I stayed with my cousin Janice, who is amazing by the way. We watched this video of saturday night live. The funniest thing I have ever seen.

umm.. some highlights.

Tubing - we went tubing on the lake with my uncle. Melissa kept flipping off the tube (halarious). She was getting super cocky doing the YMCA and stuff so we tried to flip her off. I held on tight as to not allow them a victory. However, at one point I wanted to fall off so I stretch back as to slip off. I did slip off, but somehow continued skimming on top of the water without the tube. IT WAS NUTS!

Campfire - we had two campfires while we were there. I was sooo happy. Melissa decided to eat marshmellows till she was sick the second time.

Movies/Big Brother - Almost everynight Melissa, Jan, and I would watch movies. We saw The Ugly Truth, with was really funny. We also got hooked on Big Brother (hot Jeff)

Shopping - we went to many stores, which was fun. Melissa bought 9 books total. haha including one called Melissa. It sounds like her life story too. haha. I bought my second book in the Sword of Truth series, and a new planner for this year.

Jan - the biggest highlight of going to edmonton was seeing Jan. Thank you for letting us stay with you we had so much fun.

There is alot more, but I dont feel like typing it all.

And some Lowlights...

Dairy Queen - the blizzards they gave us, did not meet the standard commercial thickness. They were like soup. So I put it in the freezer for a whole day and still it was runny. that was a waste of 4 dollars.

Unhelpful Helpful People - This lady was trying to help us when we were lost, but she took 9 million years to write the directions for us. No joke. She tried to draw us a map that made no sense at all. Her written directions were noo better.

Insanely Hot Sun - On the way back the sun was sooo hot. We were beyond sweaty by the time we got home. It was like a rainforest in the car.

Overall it was a really fun trip.

A few months ago I decided to sponsor a child. I got this super cute romanian boy whos about 7. Last week he sent me a letter in the mail. It was so cute. He also had a picture to go with it. So I decided to write him back and draw him a picture of a lion. Hes a boy im sure he would like that more than some disney princess hhaha.

These next drawings are ones I did last week, I think. I cant remember.

I came across these pictures that I did a while ago at work. Just thought I would put them up. I get bored at work alot, so I draw.

12 more days till edmonton! Im super excited! I get to see a bunch of my relatives, and Melissas.

I have about 2 and a half hours till I leave for work, ARG! I dont want to work today. Hopefully Im working with someone good. That would make it less boring. For the past I dont know how many shifts, I have been working with my Manager. Not that I dont like her, I do, but I always have to be doing something. haha. Whatever, I shouldnt complain. At least I have work, right?

Today I bought two books online. Volume one and two of the Drawn to Life: 20 Golden Years of Disney Master Classes. It is filled with notes, drawings and lectures from Walt Stanchfield. An amazing Disney Animator. I am super excited but have to wait a while for it to come. Oh well.

The Secret of Nihm

I officially have my iphone!

I got it on the first day that it came out. I went in at about 9 and there was no line up haha. I did not have to shove past all these people. There was only one white one and it was put aside for me :), its great to have connections. Anyways, I loooove it! my whole life is on there already. I cant get off it sometimes haha. I have about 80 applications on there haha, I came prepared.

So last week I saw Away We Go (John Krasinski) and Easy Virtue (Ben Barnes, Colin Firth) with Jen. They were both amazing! Away We Go was halarious with John Krasinski. Easy Virtue was funny as well and Ben was soo cute! That day we went to this Asian dollar store between the two movies cause it was at Tinsletown. I got watercolours and some office supply stuff. It was great.

Bugsy Mologne is officially over! Yesterday was the last day. Now Wizard of Oz with the little kids goes up. I will miss the kids. They really grow on you. Especially during show time cause you can really talk to them and get to know them without the pressure of making the show perfect. However, the show is over so time to relax.

Today I went to Walmart and guess what movie I saw there for 7 dollars?!? The Secret of Nihm. I used to watch that movie all the time when I was younger. I loved it. I couldnt remember what it was about but I knew it was good. I bought it and watched it like an hour ago. It was really good. I totally forgot the story of it though.

I also bought some watercolours cause lately I have been into doing watercolour drawings. I bought a book for it recently too. Here are a few of my watercolour drawings.


This one I made for my dad for fathers day (its his card). Its of my dad and brother chris when we were at Disneyland years ago. Hahah I think its kinda funny.

A special message to my best friend Melissa who I have not seen much at all lately. I really miss you and love you. Please get better.. She is coming over in like 15 minutes to watch The Secret of Nihm, thank goodness.

Chalkboard paint.

Chalkboard Paint!

Chalkboard paint (for those of you who do not know) is an amazing invention. Whatever surface you paint with this magical paint becomes a chalkboard! I have been looking everywhere for a chalkboard to put on my wall so i can write memos or whatever. All this time I did not know that this amazing substance called chalkboard paint exsisted.

So I bought it! I went up to my room to look at what or where I could use this paint. Them BAM! It hit me. I bought this white board from Ikea a while back, and covered it with heart sticky notes and pictures. I didnt really like it anymore so I took everything off it. The surface looked kinda ugly, soooo.... I put chalkboard paint on it. I have to wait like four days till I can use it though. Ugh! How will I ever wait? But it will be really cool when I can.

I also bought a bathing suit top from Walmart yesterday. It is actually sooo cute. And for only 7 dollars! Crazy hey?

So my relatives are coming over tomorrow I think it is. My grandma is staying here till tuesday, and my cousin and his family are saying somewhere else but are visiting. Then My uncle and his wife (hes re-married so she isnt my aunt) are staying for a few days as well. Its going to be a crazy house for a while. However, as much fun as relatives are, my grandma will be staying in my room. So I have to stay in my brothers room for a while. Its fine, but then if I want to get anything from my room after nine I have to sneak in so I wont wake her up. Oh well Im sure I will have many stories to tell after they all leave haha.

So last night I did a couple drawings. I did more than these two, but they arnt worth putting up haha. The fox one looks kinda weird cause the paper is thin and wrinkly, but you get the picture.

This moring I woke up and felt weird and empty inside, so I read my bible for a while and decided to go on a walk. I brought along my sketch book and stuff so I could draw outside. I really enjoyed it. I did a couple drawings outside, then came home and sat on my balcony and drew. I read the criteria for the portfolio (animation program I want to go into after theatre is done) I need to submit, and it says you must submit at least a couple real life drawings. Uh oh! No its okay. I havent really done much real life but I understand why they want you too. So a couple of these drawings are slightly realistic. More the eagle than the others. Well enjoy and tell me what you think.

Exactly 8 more days until the new iphone comes out!! I cant wait. I will be like one of those obessed freaks waiting outside the mall till it opens, then booking it inside. Hey If I have to I will. If I dont get it right away I may have to wait for a loong time till they get more in. I want to have it for the bugsy show because it will be so much easier to have my email with me. Also my schedule and notices will all be on that too. :)

summer time

I know, I know! I have not wrote on here for soo long!

Anyways, I do have lots of drawings for you guys. They all have the date on them so you can see it was from a little while ago. Some I made up and some are more disney (ofcourse).

These ones I drew after buying the book by the disney artist. The last picture got scanned weird, her ankles are not really like that.

Here is a drawing of one of my favorite actors.. BEN BARNES. Incase you did not know, he played Prince Caspian. I would hope if you know me that you would know that by now!

More disney for you all. Cause I cant get enough!

In less than two weeks (I am thinking) I will be getting my iphone!! Its the new one coming out and I cannot wait. I am screaming inside at this moment.

In further news, Melissa just got her new laptop! I hope she enjoys it as much as I think she will. She is exploring it as I write. Random squeels escape her mouth from time to time. Then, ofcourse, there is the random comments of .. Why doesnt your computer have this? or, My computer is soo much faster than yours, like bam!! hahah, I love her for it.

I went to Share (like value village) the other day and all of their hard cover books were one dollar, and all of their soft cover books were 50 cents! Amazing hey? So I got this disney storybook thing, the princess diaries, the jungle book. Their movies were also $0.50 - $1.00. So I got sing along songs the zipidee doo da one and the Tigger movie. I was pretty pleased with the turn out.

I love the weather!
